If your first priority is low costs,
如果，最大的煩悩是費用，

1. your target is national universities
目標是国立大学。

2-1. visit various national universities' homepages and select several universities you are interested in.
訪問各国立大学的主頁，挑有興趣的大学。

2-2. think about using Japanese MEXT govermantial scholarships.
考慮領受日本政府文部科学省奨学金.

3. get "Kakomon（=過去問）"=past year's entrance examination problems copies. (some Universities send its Kakomon's copies to applicants who requested.)
得到那大学的「過去問」（＝去年以前的入学考試問題）。
（有若干大学応答要求。）

4. apply the universities you selected and actually take the exams.
挑大学以后，接受入学考試。

5-1. after you passed the exams, get inquiry about the university dormitory and apply.
考上以后，報名日本国立大学的自己大学学生宿舎居住。

5-2. after you passed the exams, get inquiry about the free tuition programs and apply ( for details, please ask your university's office.).
考上以后，報名「日本国立大学的学費免除制度」。
（有関詳細，請問「学生課」。）



If you don't care the amount of expenses,
如果，没有金銭方面的問題，

Spring(March - May ):
1. search the universities you want to visit.
2. contact the universities and get the schedules of "Open Campus Day"that is to be held in summer.

Summer(July - August)
1. actually visit the universities you are interested in.
2. get the entrance examination application sheets.
3. start preparing to take entrance examinations.

Summer - Autumn
1. visit Japan and take the exams.
2. after you passed the exams, find the apartment.
